Our Story
Dr. Chandra Lakshmi Devi was born in Guntur on 30.08.1964. After completing her Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery, she ran Dr. Kotnis Clinic in Khammam with the moral support of her husband I.V.Ramana Rao. She also worked at different hospitals in Vijayawada, Hyderabad and Khammam. At the time of her passing, she was working as a Duty Doctor at Khammam Institute of Medical Science. Prior to her death, she had been working without a break for many days treating scores of patients suffering from dengue fever. She and her colleagues were about to present a paper on dengue treatment. Sadly on 23.11.2019 she came home exhausted and went to bed immediately. She suffered a stroke in her sleep and was found to be no more.
Dr. Lakshmi Devi had a charismatic personality. Her laugh was infectious, and her generosity unmatched. She was very fond of children. Though her love for her own son was immeasurable, she always had warmth reserved for girl children. Dr. Lakshmi Devi Education and Family Health was established in her loving memory.
Our Mission
We would like to identify orphan girls, arrange educational facilities and provide them emotional support. Our goal is to ensure that they lead secure, comfortable lives. We would also like to help take care of their health and be a proud witness to the families they form.
Apart from donations and food, we can give them our time and attention. We can sponsor their education and become a mentor figure, a parent they lost.
